Your wedding day should be one of the happiest days of your life, not the most stressful. After months (or even years!) of planning, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of timelines, seating charts, and finding that one groomsman who somehow disappeared five minutes before the ceremony, Haha. The truth is this: your wedding day can be calm, joyful, and full of unforgettable moments! If you set yourself up for success 🙂
Here are 5 different ways to have a stress-free wedding day, so you can focus on what really matters! Celebrating your love.
- Hire a wedding planner / coordinator
As a bride, if you’re a Type-A planner, you shouldn’t be the go-to person on your wedding day! Hire a professional planner or a wedding coordinator that you can trust to run your entire wedding day start to finish. Let them field questions, manage the schedule, and handle any hiccups behind the scenes, as well as the day of!
2. Making a timeline
Building a timeline is a game changer for any wedding day. In two of my packages I actually include timeline building where we do it together and create the best timeline for your special day. When we hop on the phone and discuss we will make time for every moment like getting ready, bride and groom photos, travel between venues, even bathroom breaks! This gives you breathing room in case things run behind (which they usually do), and helps you stay relaxed and on track 🙂
3. Eat ( this is a priority! )
Nerves and excitement can mess with your appetite, but staying nourished and hydrated will keep your energy and mood steady. Have snacks, water, and a solid breakfast or lunch on hand. This is a must for any wedding day!
4. Be okay with imperfection!
Sometimes on wedding days things may not go as planned. A song might get skipped, it might rain, you might forget to put perfume on. But guess what? Those little quirks usually make the best stories! Focusing on the bigger picture on your wedding day: you’re marrying your FAVORITE person !
5. BE PRESENT 🙂
Your wedding day is a day you’ll never forget, so every moment is an opportunity to soak in the day. Take little mental snapshots throughout the day, your partner’s expression when you walk in, the feeling of your first dance, the laughter from your guests! These are the moments that matter. Let go of control and soak it all in during one of the best days of your life 🙂
A stress-free wedding day doesn’t mean everything has to be perfect, it just means you’re focused on what’s important on your wedding day. Prepare ahead of time, let the little things go, and remember why you’re there in the first place: you’re in LOVE.
